April Eastman
A Personal Welcome
Hello, I’m April, and I’m so glad you’re here.
Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re carrying the weight of trauma, navigating anxiety or depression, trying to help your child through a difficult season, or simply feeling stuck, I want you to know you don’t have to figure it out alone. My hope is that when you walk into my office, you feel seen, respected, and safe enough to take the next step toward healing.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside children, adolescents, adults, couples, and military families through some of life’s most difficult moments. From inpatient hospitals to outpatient care and clinical leadership, each experience has reinforced what I believe most deeply: healing happens when people feel understood, supported, and connected.
I strive to create a calm, collaborative space where therapy moves at your pace. I believe every person already possesses incredible strengths, even if life’s experiences have made them difficult to see. My role isn’t to tell you who to become, but to help you reconnect with the resilience, hope, and relationships that have always been possible.
My Approach to Individual Therapy
Every person’s story is different, which is why I believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. I tailor each session to your unique goals, values, and experiences while drawing from research-supported approaches that promote meaningful, lasting change.
For many clients, this includes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that helps people safely process traumatic experiences without remaining trapped by them. Whether we’re working through trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you move toward greater resilience, confidence, and peace.
My Approach to Children & Adolescents
Children often communicate through play long before they can explain their emotions with words. Through Child-Centered Play Therapy, I meet children at their developmental level, creating a safe environment where healing, emotional expression, and confidence can naturally grow.
I also have a passion for working with adolescents and teens as they navigate identity, friendships, school pressures, anxiety, family relationships, and the many transitions that come with growing up. My goal is to provide a space where young people feel heard, respected, and empowered while partnering with parents to support healthy emotional development.
Credentials & Training
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with experience across inpatient hospitals, outpatient behavioral health, private practice, and clinical leadership. My clinical work includes specialized training in EMDR and Child-Centered Play Therapy, with additional experience supporting Veterans, military families, children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families through a wide range of emotional and relational concerns.
